Nestled along the shores of Oʻahu, this luxury beachfront residence was reimagined as a deeply personal retreat rooted in comfort, wellness, and effortless entertaining. Originally designed by another firm, the homeowner sought a more authentic expression of her lifestyle - casual yet refined, vibrant yet grounded, and thoughtfully curated for everyday living.

Spanning over 6,500 square feet, the home underwent a full-scale interior transformation, encompassing five bedrooms, three living areas, two expansive lanais, a dining room, game room, office, and private gym. Each space was approached with intention, balancing elevated design with livable functionality and a seamless connection to its surroundings.

Art and craftsmanship take center stage, with a curated collection of bespoke and commissioned pieces creating a layered, highly individualized environment. Highlights include a custom moss-wall installation in the dining room, a Venetian plaster entertainment feature, and a Maryanne Moodie textile piece cascading above the staircase. Sculptural installations crafted from dried florals and marine rope add depth and movement, while works by Pegge Hopper and Margaret Rice ground the home in a strong sense of place. Custom Arlie Glass leis introduce a sense of play, balanced with cultural nuance.

Custom millwork is woven throughout, from the paneling in the living room, gallery wall and private gym to the integrated sliding mirror and desk in the daughter’s room, ensuring every element feels cohesive and considered. The result is a one-of-a-kind coastal home that reflects a refined yet relaxed island lifestyle, where thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and wellness seamlessly intersect.
