Hi, I’m Shaolin

Shaolin is a third-generation designer. Born into a family rooted in interior design and construction. Raised in Honolulu, she spent her childhood immersed in job sites, learning the art of creating beautiful, functional homes from the inside out.

Her creative journey spans over 30 countries and some of the world’s most design-rich cities — from a formative year in London to professional chapters in San Francisco and New York City, as a sought-after event producer. These experiences deeply shaped her globally-inspired aesthetic.

In 2020, she launched Studio Shaolin — an award-winning interior design firm grounded in the belief that luxury should feel personal, layered, and livable. The Honolulu-based firm works on projects spanning across all islands and beyond. Shaolin's work deeply reflects her clients' individual stories and is thoughtfully curated with rich textures, soulful details, and elevated functionality.

As a mother of twins, Shaolin's aesthetic is influenced by real life—creating spaces that are visually striking yet also family-friendly, organized, and designed to evolve over time.

Shaolin’s work has been recognized across various publications including, but not limited to, Sunset Magazine, Modern Luxury Hawaii, Business of Home, Honolulu Magazine, Midweek, KHON2 News, and more. She has also appeared on Magnolia Network’s Home in Hawaii, now streaming on Max.

Beyond interiors, she shares her creative world through her online boutique, WOVEN by Shaolin, and her podcast, Begin with Shaolin, where she explores creativity, identity, and transformation with a diverse range of guests.
