Service: Full-Service Design + Renovation

At Studio Shaolin, we had the privilege of transforming a Honolulu condominium into a serene coastal retreat for our international clients. Entrusting us with full creative control, we executed a comprehensive renovation that reimagined the entire unit, blending modern aesthetics with the tranquil essence of Hawaiian living.

The full-scale renovation, included the kitchen, two bathrooms, and flooring throughout the unit. We enclosed the former service lanai to create a multi-functional space featuring a laundry closet, a cozy daybed nook, and an expanded kitchen area, enhancing both functionality and flow.

Embracing a coastal modern design, we incorporated terrazzo flooring known for its durability and visual appeal . The palette features light, airy hues complemented by subtle pops of color and pattern, creating a harmonious and inviting atmosphere. Natural materials and textures, such as rattan and linen, were utilized to evoke the breezy, relaxed vibe characteristic of Hawaiian interiors

To infuse the space with unique character, we collaborated with local artisans to create custom furnishings that reflect the island's rich cultural heritage. These bespoke pieces, combined with curated artwork, contribute to a cohesive and personalized interior that resonates with our clients' lifestyle and the home's coastal surroundings.
