Nantucket Charm
Service: Full-Service Design
Our client spends most of her year at her home in Nantucket. But, when she was ready to revamp her Kailua oasis, she called on us, and we immediately spoke the same language. Patterns, bold florals, spaces that feel elevated but still genuinely cozy. It was a natural fit from the start.
The condo just needed a refresh, so we started with a fresh coat of paint and decorated it from top to bottom. Every piece in the home is custom, from the Hawaiian Monkey Pod dining table crafted by a local artisan, to a sofa with a detail so quiet you almost have to know to look for it. The floral accent chairs bring the personality, the outdoor set gets its own pop of fun, and each bedroom has custom bookshelves and custom upholstered beds, that give the room its own moment. Every piece was chosen with intention. Every pattern had to earn its place.
The third bedroom belongs entirely to a floor-to-ceiling chinoiserie botanical mural, the kind that stops you in your tracks without trying too hard. The room is dual purposed - a closet reimagined as a half-desk for when work calls and a pull-out sofa for when guests do.
The dining room opens to sweeping views of Kailua, so the design had to complement the natural beauty, while still standing on its own. The result is a space that lives at the intersection of two coasts - refined East Coast sensibility meets warm island soul, and most importantly feels completely personal to the woman who lives inside it.
The entire project was designed remotely - us in Hawaiʻi, our client in Nantucket. Which made her reaction at the end of the project, all the more meaningful. As she put it: "I still have difficulty believing that we were able to do this project and have it come out so beautifully over 5,000 miles apart."
Proof that good design can happen from anywhere.
